The Ken Ganley Companies/Brecksville Kiwanis 12th Annual Trick or Trot 5K Run is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, October 25th. The race will start at 8:30 AM at the Blossom Hill complex. The route will follow Oakes Road to Barr Road and Valley Parkway. Please anticipate road closures and traffic delays. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Dispose of unused and expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medications quickly at our drive-through site.

Alert! ODOT has closed the 82 bridge between Sagamore Hills and Brecksville for at least the next 30 days.

During an inspection, the integrity of the bridge was compromised in areas to warrant an immediate closure. We will update when/if we get more information from ODOT in the coming days.

Please allow time for additional travel as you will have to find other ways around.

While supplies last, free Glow Sticks will now be available in the lobby of the police station for trick-or-treaters. Reminder: The City of Brecksville's Trick-or-Treat event is on October 31st, from 6pm to 8pm.

Today, our School Resource Officers (SROs), Maxwell and Krzynowek, in collaboration with the Broadview Heights Police Department, B&D Towing, Drive Team driving school, and CAPA, hosted a Safe Driving Class for new drivers. The course covered several important topics at different stations, including what to expect if stopped by the police, how to respond if involved in a crash, how to change a flat tire, how to jump-start a car with a dead battery, and how to drive safely in adverse weather conditions such as rain and snow. The event was well attended, and we hope that participants gained valuable insights and skills.

We would like to extend our gratitude to DiGeronimo Companies and Valor Acres for inviting us to their Safety Services Appreciation Day. The event took place at the impressive venue "The Post," located at Valor Square. Attendees enjoyed delicious food from the Boys-R-Back rolling kitchen food truck. Additionally, we had the opportunity to see the completely restored original 955H Traxcavator, which was purchased by Independence Excavating in 1963, on display on the 5th floor of their office building. A wonderful time was had by all.

Our Community Outreach Team presented at the Lunch & Learn event hosted by St. Basil's Church. Officers Tom and Ryan covered important topics including personal safety, home safety, and scam prevention. Approximately 100 people attended the presentation, and there was a great Q&A session at the end. Thank you for having us, St. Basil's!
