🌧️💦 Yep… we totally get it.
Between all this rain, flooding, and soggy everything, trash piles are growing faster than spring puddles. Our social media guru is currently shop‑vacing her own basement, so trust us — you are definitely not alone. 😅

👉 This information is for our MMWA member communities that use BLUE trash carts.

Here’s a quick refresher on extra trash guidelines during wet weather:
🗑️ Extra Bags

✅Residents may place 1–2 trash bags outside the cart, 1–2 times per year.
✅If you haven’t used this option yet this year, you’re good to put out up to two extra bags.
✅All bags must weigh less than 50 pounds — wet bags get heavy fast!

🚫 Important to know:

ℹ️If there are excessive materials outside the cart, the driver should tag the cart.
ℹ️This is not a punishment — tags are meant to educate residents at the curb and help avoid issues on future pickups.
ℹ️This program is not designed for move‑outs, move‑ins, floods, or large cleanouts.
ℹ️For all intents and purposes, this program is meant to live inside the cart, but WM understands that sometimes things happen.
ℹ️Adding “just one more bag” beyond the allowance may result in it not being collected.

🛋️ Bulk Items
You may place up to two bulk items per week next to your cart.
Bulk items are things like:

✅Furniture
✅An average room’s worth of carpet and padding
✅That shop vac you just blew up sucking all the water out of your basement 💥
✅ Bulk items are NOT trash bags.

➕ Need more space every week?

✅Residents may purchase an additional trash cart for a one‑time fee of $120.
✅That means you can set out two trash carts every week, if desired.
✅Trash carts are under warranty, so if a wheel goes flying off or something breaks, just call MMWA and it will be repaired or replaced.

🌧️ Still have more thanks to the weather?

✅A Bagster is a great option for excess material.

💬 Friendly heads‑up: We know this post may generate a lot of comments — please be kind. Your social media guru is still knee‑deep in basement water, armed with a shop vac and a sense of humor. 😅💙

Hang in there, everyone. Stay dry, and thank you for helping keep collections running smoothly!
