Stephens County is under a Red Flag Warning today due to dangerous fire weather conditions.

💨 Strong winds: 20–30 mph (gusts up to 40+ mph)
🌡️ Very low humidity: as low as 5%–15%
🔥 Extremely high wildfire risk

🚫 NO OUTDOOR BURNING
Any fire that starts today can spread rapidly and become uncontrollable.

⚠️ Please avoid:
• Burning trash or brush
• Welding or cutting outdoors
• Parking vehicles in dry grass
• Dragging chains or anything that may spark
• Discarding ci******es improperly

👨‍🚒 Our local fire departments are on high alert. Help us keep Stephens County safe.

The Stephens County-wide burn ban has been put back on by the commissioners court per the direction of Fire Marshal and Breckenridge Fire Chief Malcolm Bufkin. 🚨 Red Flag Weekend in Stephens County 🚨

Stephens County Fire Marshal and Breckenridge Fire Department Chief Malcolm Bufkin has issued a Red Flag Weekend for Saturday November 8 through Sunday November 9. High winds and very dry conditions are expected.

Please do not start any outdoor burning. This includes brush piles, burn barrels, trash, and campfires.

We will share an update on Monday November 10. Thank you for helping keep our neighbors and first responders safe. Please share this message.
