The mission of the Breckenridge Hills Police Department is to ensure the safety and security of the public through strong community partnerships and excellence in policing. Breckenridge Hills Street Department:

The Breckenridge Hills Street Department is seeking motivated individuals for full-time and part-time positions. We are looking for dependable team members who take pride in maintaining and improving our community.

Compensation & Benefits:

Job Responsibilities:

-Maintain landscaping throughout the city
-Perform pruning, grass cutting, and w**d trimming
-Assist with boarding up and securing vacant properties
-Operate and maintain various equipment and tools
-Perform snow removal and related winter maintenance duties
-Support general street department operations as needed

Qualifications:

-Valid driver's license required

-General knowledge of:
Snow plows
Dump trucks
Brush hogs
Lawn mowers
Leaf blowers
Trimmers

Previous experience is a plus, but not required.

Public Service Announcement: Zero-Tolerance for Mini-Bikes This Summer

Mini-bikes of any kind are not allowed to be ridden within the city limits of Breckenridge Hills. This includes public streets, sidewalks, bike paths, parking lots, MO 180, and Woodson Road.

If you are caught riding one by the Breckenridge Hills Police Department, you will be stopped, and it will be towed. If you are over the age of 18 and operating one without a valid license, you may even be arrested.

Our very own Cpl. Markivee and K9 Thor participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run this afternoon benefiting the Special Olympics.

He was joined by officers from our neighboring agencies including Woodson Terrace Police, Edmundson Police, St. John Police and St. Ann Police.

**News Release **

Last night just before 11pm, Breckenridge Hills officers responded to the 3000 block of Rex Avenue after a neighbor reported witnessing a domestic disturbance involving a physical assault as well as a firearm being pointed at the victim.

Officers from Breckenridge Hills as well as multiple surrounding agencies arrived on scene and safely took the subject into custody without further incident. During the investigation a loaded AR style pistol was recovered, matching the description of the weapon given by the witness.

This morning, warrants were issued by the St Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s for the subject, Robert Riley which include the following charges:

1) Domestic Assault 3rd degree
2) Unlawful Use of a Weapon - Exhibiting
3) Armed Criminal Action

Robert Riley is being held on a $100,000 cash only bond.

The swift and courageous decision by one of our residents to monitor and report the situation to police possibly saved the victims life.

After finding out her favorite drug house was shut down Joanna Herrera thought it was a good idea to throw rocks at our police cars, and bite the former chief.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office issued the following charges for Joanna Herrera:

Count 1 - Assault 3rd Special Victim (F)
Count 2 - Resisting Arrest (F)

$75,000 cash only bond no 10%

Attached is her mugshot from the arrest.

P.O. Vergara, DSN 317 was the arresting officer in this case and the officer who made warrant application.

***News Release***

On 05/8/26 at approximately 0600 hours the Breckenridge Hills Police Department executed a search warrant in 3300 block of Sims Avenue. Drugs were found inside the residence and, two arrests were made. The house was condemned. If you sell drugs in our city we will be knocking at your door next!
