That’s why awareness and early detection are so important.

Join us for Community Heart Watch on May 14!

Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs of sudden cardiac arrest, what symptoms to look for, and the immediate steps to take in an emergency. We’ll also share new insights on identifying cardiac events during sports and everyday activities.

The session will cover heart health screening options including EKGs and ECHOs, along with information on subsidized screening resources.

Attendees will also get a brief hands-on opportunity to practice CPR and learn how to use an AED.

Information on opioid overdoses, naloxone use, and access to free naloxone will also be provided.

This is an informational session only; CPR certification will not be issued.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Light refreshments will be included.

Presented by CPR It Works in partnership with the Brea Resource Center.

Today is National Fentanyl Awareness Day.

Fentanyl is powerful, often hidden, and impacting communities everywhere. Even a tiny amount can be deadly, and it’s often mixed into other drugs without people knowing.

Most overdose deaths today involve fentanyl, but awareness can save lives. Learning the facts, carrying naloxone, and checking in with others makes a difference.
