🌟Did you know that our work is made possible by our local community? 🌟

Supporters are people like yourself, your neighbors, your coworkers, and employees at nearby businesses. This type of giving is locally based and locally utilized. The money raised stays in Windham County and is used to leverage resources that make the most impact. Over 99% of the funds raised remain within Windham County, which means that your contribution benefits neighbors, co-workers, friends, and family! 🌈😍

Fun opportunity to get involved!

Bratt First Friday & Gallery Walk approaches and one thing we know for sure- it takes a whole town to throw a party this big! We 💕LOVE💕 to welcome new volunteers to our fold. Volunteers make this program possible- roughly 35 people are needed each month. The time of day and variety of jobs means there’s something for nearly Everyone. Over the years we’ve managed to meet some folks who show up time after time, and now they’re not just volunteers, they’re friends. That’s the dream! If you can swing it, please signup for a shift. If you’re not quite sure but *might be interested, email [email protected] to talk more about it.

👧United Way of Windham County strives to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of community. Children are a BIG piece of our community puzzle 🌟

We are updating our program so we can provide flexible spending that gives school social workers, nurses, and teachers the ability to address whatever a child actually needs, whether that's dental care, hygiene items, or boots.

United Way of Windham County opened in 1958. Historically, United Ways worked as a provider of agency funds, asking the question, “What does the agency need?” By transitioning to the Community Impact model, United Way of Windham County asks the question, “What does the community need and how do we best meet that need?”

So, what does Windham County need and how can we support our community in an impactful way? We want to hear your ideas and work with you to make our community the best it can be.

🌎 Last Saturday was Green Up Vermont Day♻️

We were out and about handing out green bags and filling them up with litter around Brattleboro. We enjoyed meeting so many kindhearted community members who value clean spaces too. Keeping our towns clean isn't a priority for just Green Up Vermont Day, but everyday. We hope you'll join us next year 🗑

United Way of Windham is a nonprofit that mobilizes our community to action so all can thrive. With deep local roots, we see how our communities’ greatest challenges are connected — and how we can bring people and resources together to address them. That’s why we’re here, in our communities, always listening and ready to respond. Working together with our neighbors, we’re strengthening local resilience and advancing health, youth opportunity, and financial security for all. Be sure to read this great article in The Commons -- Windham County's Independent Source for News and Views to learn move about what we do, why we do it, and how you can be a part our work!

With a new executive director at the helm and a recently relocated office, the United Way of Windham County is embarking on what administrators describes as a period of listening, learning, and renewal - with community connection at the heart of its refreshed mission.

🏃🏿‍♀️We are hitting the pavement and want to talk to you, yes, you! 🏃‍♀️

This past Friday, we were at Downtown Brattleboro 's Gallery Walk striking up conversations to get to know our neighbors. We want to know who you really are and what gets you pumped! We believe when we take action together, we can create change for all. Don't be shy, come talk to a stranger next time you see our booth. 🥰

Volunteers needed for Gallery night!
Winter is over time to get outside again.

It's week-of our very first Gallery Walk & First Friday of the season. Heck yeah! We can't WAIT to celebrate with you all this Friday. We still need about 15 hands on deck for this first event- most especially we need help from 2-4pm setting up, and two barricade attendants from 7-9pm. Please take a peek at the signup and grab a shift if you can.

These events are a labor of love- DBA has just two staff! It's through the help of our steadfast and stellar volunteer crew that Downtown is transformed each month. Join us! We have SO much fun, and hanging with our volunteers turned friends is one of our very favorite parts.
