🦍 Team Donkey Kong is Ready for Camp! 🦍
Big things are happening tomorrow morning! I’m heading out to Springfield Camp for a full week of Mario-themed action, and our squad is repping Team Donkey Kong. 🍌👔
We’ve got 76 people heading out—that's 66 incredible kids and 10 leaders ready to dive into an unforgettable week. It is going to be absolutely wild, high-energy, and completely worth it.
From a leadership standpoint, there is nothing better than getting to pour into these teenagers and young adults, see what they’re passionate about, and watch God move in their lives first-hand. ✨
My camp survival pack is officially loaded:
🔋 Energy drinks
🩹 Tylenol & Aspirin
🩺 Blood pressure meds (just in case!)

It started with fixing a car issue. Success, right? But plans change quickly. Immediately afterward, a complete sewer backup flooded my utility closet and blew out into the yard. The main breaker to the grinder pump had flipped hard, the outdoor reservoir was overflowing, and things were looking incredibly bleak for my weekend.
When you are deep underwater in a submarine, you don't have the luxury of panicking when a system fails. You don't get to walk away or wait for someone else to show up and fix it. You step up, you assess the damage, and you systematically work the problem until it's solved.
So, I got to work. I manually drained the reservoir, dried things off, pulled the pump, and gave it a precise, mechanical "jarring" to clear the internal jam.
The pump is now fully operational, the system is restored, the yard is washed down, and the carpet is under a small army of drying fans.
Real leadership isn't about sitting in a comfortable office when things are smooth sailing. It’s about maintaining your composure when the pressure is high, the environment is hostile, and everything is coming at you all at once. It’s about taking ownership of the mess and finding a way to win.
When everything is thrown at you at once, just remember that God is in control and has you in the palm of His hands. Sometimes, you just have to lean back, laugh at the absurdity of a Friday night sewage crisis, and celebrate the hard-fought victories.
The car is fixed, the pump is humming, and the house is dry. I’ll take the win.
