As far as I understand, this man who engaged the mass shooter in Idaho was running an FN Five-seveN with an Axiom suppressor and seemingly trains or at least dabbles with Center Axis Relock.

This is the kind of guy a lot of you would’ve made fun of if his training videos were circulating a week ago.
Maybe the better takeaway is that instead of the constant optimization fetishization that gets pushed, we should accept that once your gear is inside a reasonable performance envelope, the practical application of skill under pressure is what actually matters.
