Jackie Wilson for Constable - Meade County District 5

Jackie Wilson for Constable - Meade County District 5 I’m Jackie Wilson, and I’m a dedicated Meade County resident, husband, and father of 7 who is committed to safety, accountability, and trust.

Running for constable in district 5. I believe in service, integrity, and protecting the people of Meade county!!

04/08/2026

I’m excited to announce a possible opportunity to better serve our community in Meade County with a dedicated vehicle.

I’ve recently come across a Dodge Charger that would be a great fit for this purpose. With a couple of minor maintenance items, it will be ready for service, and the overall cost, including purchase, title, licensing, and repairs, is approximately $5,000.

As many may know, constables in Kentucky are unpaid elected officials. Every piece of equipment I use comes from personal investment, support, and the generosity of others who believe in this mission. I’m committed to serving not for income, but because I genuinely care about the safety and well-being of our community.

I’m NOT asking for donations, your prayers and support truly mean the most as I take steps toward making this possible. However, if you feel led to contribute your time, skills, or resources, whether that’s mechanical work, maintenance, decals, paint, detailing, or anything related, I’d be grateful for the opportunity to connect. I never want to stand in the way of someone who feels called to be a part of this effort.

Thank you all for your continued encouragement and support. It means more than you know!

This campaign isn’t backed by big money.
It’s backed by real people!

People who are tired of being overlooked.
Tired of being last on the list.
Tired of feeling like their voice doesn’t matter.

I’m not running to be a politician.
I’m running to be present. To be accountable. To actually show up.

Because leadership shouldn’t hide.
It shouldn’t dodge calls, that’s why my number is public, and it definitely shouldn’t forget who put them there.

This campaign is about:

✔️ Showing up when it matters
✔️ Listening before speaking
✔️ Standing firm when it’s not easy

No games. No excuses. No disappearing after Election Day.

If you believe our community deserves better, not louder promises, but real follow-through, then I’m asking for your support!

Let’s build something that actually represents US.

🚨 WHY IS HB 684 BEING HELD UP? 🚨
Let’s stop pretending this is normal!
Kentucky HB684 is sitting in Frankfort right now, and committee leadership won’t even bring it to the floor for a vote, YET.

Not passed.
Not rejected.
Just… ignored.

Meanwhile, other bills with far less impact are moving right through the process.

So I’ll ask the question a lot of you are already thinking:

Why not this one?

HB684 is about:
✔ Training standards for constables
✔ Clear authority as peace officers
✔ Real oversight through the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council
✔ Consistency across ALL counties

This isn’t some back-burner issue.
This affects public safety, accountability, and how local law enforcement operates.

This is bigger than one bill!!
If lawmakers can just refuse to bring something to a vote, then what voice do the people really have?

Agree with it or not, that’s NOT the point.
👉 The point is: LET IT BE VOTED ON.

Here’s where you come in:
📣 Call your state representative
📣 Message them
📣 Comment on their pages

Ask them ONE question:
“Why hasn’t HB684 been brought to a vote?”

That’s it. No politics. No spin. Just accountability.
We don’t need to agree on everything.
But we should ALL agree on this:

Silence is not leadership.
Avoiding a vote is not representation.

Let. It. Be. Voted. On.

Today I took a few minutes to email members of the Judiciary Committee regarding House Bill 684!

HB684 is about establishing clear standards and training expectations that strengthen professionalism, accountability, and consistency across Kentucky. In ALL counties, clarity in law enforcement authority and training directly impacts public trust and coordination between agencies.

Contacting legislators doesn’t have to be complicated. A respectful email stating your support and asking for a fair hearing can make a real difference. Lawmakers track constituent communication, and when they see that people are paying attention, it matters.

You don’t have to write a long message. Just:
• State your name and county
• Reference HB 684
• Share your support
• Ask that it receive a hearing and vote

I’ve done my part by reaching out respectfully. If you care about this bill, I encourage you to take a few minutes and EMAIL!

Civic engagement works best when it’s informed, respectful, and consistent.

🚨 HB684 IS SITTING, AND IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE. 🚨

Right now, Kentucky House Bill 684 is stalled in the Kentucky House Committee on Committees.

It has been filed.
It has been read.
And now it’s waiting.

Waiting on leadership to assign it.
Waiting on a hearing.
Waiting on action.

Bills don’t “die” because of votes, they die because they never get scheduled.

If you support trained, accountable constables with clearly defined authority, then silence is not an option.

🔥 HERE’S WHAT TO DO:

📞 Call your State Representative, demand HB684 be assigned and heard.
📧 Email House leadership, ask why it hasn’t been scheduled.
📢 Share this post, put public pressure where it belongs.

This bill is about restoring constitutional duties WITH training standards. It’s about professionalism. It’s about public safety. And it deserves a fair hearing, not a quiet death in committee.

If leadership believes in transparency and public safety, they should have no problem letting HB684 be heard.

Make the calls.
Send the emails.
Turn up the pressure.

Let’s move HB684 forward!!

🚨 KENTUCKY ALERT! 🚨

👮 DID YOU KNOW CONSTABLES ARE THE ONLY ELECTED LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS REQUIRED TO TRAIN?

❌ Sheriff? No training.
❌ Jailer? No training.
❌ Coroner? No training.

…and all three have FULL peace officer powers 😳

💥 THIS IS WHY HOUSE BILL 684 MATTERS! 💥

✅ Restores powers taken away from constables “because of training”
✅ Introduces training to give constables back their constitutional duties
✅ Ensures every constable is fully trained, professional, and ready to serve

This is about:
💪 Safety
🤝 Trust
⚖️ Accountability

📢 WHAT YOU CAN DO:
📞 Call your state representatives.
📝 Tell them to PASS HB684 NOW!

I’m running for constable because I believe in:
✅ Professional law enforcement
✅ Accountable service
✅ Well-trained officers protecting our communities

With HB684, we restore the power and responsibility of constables — the people’s elected law enforcement.

Kentucky, it’s time to:
✅ Stand up for trained, empowered constables
✅ Build safer communities
✅ Strengthen our counties
✅ Respect the rule of law 💪

02/20/2026

I want to take a moment to share something that’s very personal to me, and very important to the safety and integrity of our communities here in Kentucky. As someone running for constable, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what it truly means to serve the people and to uphold the law responsibly.

That’s why I wholeheartedly SUPPORT House Bill 684. This bill is a game-changer for constables and our communities because it establishes formal training, certification, and peace officer authority standards for constables and deputy constables across the state.

Here’s something most people don’t realize: constables are the ONLY duly elected law enforcement officers in Kentucky who are required to complete training. Did you know that the elected sheriff in each county isn’t required by Kentucky law to undergo any training? Neither is the elected jailer, nor the elected coroner. And all three of them hold full peace officer powers.

That’s why this bill is so important. HB 684 ensures that elected constables and deputy constables are fully trained and certified, equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to serve safely and effectively. It gives us, as elected officers, the tools to protect our communities and perform our duties with confidence, professionalism, and integrity.

This isn’t just about regulations, it’s about public trust and accountability. By standardizing training and certification, HB 684 guarantees that every constable upholds the law consistently and responsibly. It’s about keeping our citizens safe, supporting law enforcement that is competent and prepared, and strengthening the credibility of our elected offices.

As I run for constable, I want you to know that I take this responsibility seriously. I believe in professional, accountable, and well-trained law enforcement. I want our office to be a model of excellence, where every decision, every action, and every interaction is guided by training, integrity, and a genuine commitment to our community.

I also want to encourage EVERYONE in EVERY community to reach out to their state representatives and urge them to pass HB 684. This bill isn’t just for constables, it’s for every citizen who expects competent, accountable, and fully empowered law enforcement in their county. Your voice matters, and now is the time to make it heard.

HB 684 isn’t just a law, it’s a step toward raising the standard for constables in Kentucky, ensuring that the people who are elected to serve actually have the skills and knowledge to do so safely and effectively. I’m proud to stand behind it, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting a system that protects our communities, respects the law, and honors the trust of the citizens we serve.

The bill as written can be found here. Please read, and encourage your representatives to VOTE YES!
