Major D. Goffinet is proud to announce that Officers E. Seets, J. Turner and C. Pfieffer have been promoted to Correctional Sergeant at Branchville Correctional Facility. As of August 30, 2026, and Sgt. Pfeiffer and Sgt. Seets have assumed their new posts after graduating Peer Leadership Academy.

Branchville Correctional Facility Administration, Custody and Indiana Correctional Industries Staff, bid happy retirement to Sgt. Pylf after 39 years of service. Not only is BCF losing a senior sergeant, but Sgt. Pyle has the second highest seniority of all the sergeants in the state. Second only by 15 days. Happy Retirement Sgt. Pyle, enjoy life "Outside the Wall".

Branchville Correctional Facility and Centurion Medical Administration are proud to announce Brittany Bolin, an administrative assistant with Centurion, received a Supply Scholarship through CPAFI (Correctional Professional Association Fund of Indiana).
Brittany is currently working for Centurion at BCF as an Administrative Assistant while pursuing her degree in the RN- BSN program. Congratulations Brittany!

On August 28, 2026, Branchville Correctional Facility said happy Retirement to two long time Employees. Chris Mitchell, Recreation Director, retired after 37 years with IDOC and BCF. Paula Mitchell, Librarian, retired after 26 years with IDOC and BCF. Happy Retirement, you will be missed!

On Friday Sept. 4, Representatives from Branchville Correctional Facility traveled to Correctional Training Institute in New Castle, IN to congratulate several employees for their successful completion of the 2026 Fall Peer Leadership Academy.

Over the Labor Day Weekend, K Bracket used their work time to help give back to the facility and boost employee morale. K Brackets Pancake Social raised enough money to purchase a new griddle for the facility that all brackets will know have access to.

Per Capt. Noble of K Bracket, " changing the moral at BCF One Pancake at a time!!! Each employee including medical staff, received two pancakes and 2 slices of bacon with a lot of syrup and butter. A good time and good food was had by all."

Thank you to K Bracket, a nice treat for a working Holiday!

On Tuesday September 1, 2026, several team members from Branchville Correctional Facility participated in Perry County's National Night Out at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Tell City, IN. Hosted by the Tell City Police Department, National Night out is a national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships.

Branchville Correctional Facility was represented by members of Custody, Administration, Unit Team, Physical Plant, PLUS, Department of Intelligence and Investigation, K9 team, E squad and the BCF Fire Department with Vehicles. Thank you to all who braved the extreme heat to help building community partnerships!
