Through April, view a collection of drawings, realistic oil paintings, plein-air oil paintings, imaginative oil paintings, a couple of studies for larger works, and multi-media imaginative florals. The Gum Spring Makerspace had just what this patron needed for an upcoming Boy Scout event. She used the 3D printer and Silhouette Cameo to create cupcake stand toppers and the bridge for a cake decoration. Here is a kind note she left thanking our helpful Makerspace staff:

On this Makerspace Monday, Rust Library takes us back to warmer days when a Loudoun resident brought a basalt stone home from their vacation at Lake Superior, Michigan. At the Rust Makerspace, they engraved a silhouette design onto the stone using the Glowforge laser cutter.

Our Friends of the Brambleton Library book sale is almost here! The festivities begin with a pre-sale tomorrow evening, Friday, Feb. 21, 5 p.m. There is a $20 admission fee to this sale. There is no admission fee to enter the book sale on Saturday and Sunday!
Donations will be accepted through today.
