🍁 Exciting News from Braintree Elder Affairs! 🍁The September Penn Chronicles is officially out! Along with our daily exercise, games, and snacks, this month is packed with incredible specialty events. 🚌✨Here are a few major highlights you won't want to miss:
SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL SENIOR CENTER MONTH

National Senior Center Month is celebrated each September to highlight the vital role senior centers play in promoting health, connection, and purpose for older adults. It is an opportunity to showcase the positive impact senior centers have on older adults and their communities. The month emphasizes how these centers foster creativity, connection, purpose, and resilience, helping participants experience healthier, more engaged, and happier lives.

The theme for this year’s National Senior Center Month is “Happier Birthdays Happen Here,” celebrating the ways senior centers create meaningful experiences and social connections for older adults.

Senior Centers serve as community hubs where older adults can access wellness programs, educational activities, social events, and essential services. They combat loneliness, provide opportunities for lifelong learning, and strengthen community ties. National Senior Center Month allows centers to increase visibility, attract new participants, and engage community partners, funders, and decision-makers in supporting older adults.

HAPPY NATIONAL SENIOR CENTER MONTH!
