Hit the Trail!

Don't miss this chance to get a free nature journal and explore the Blue Hills. Come join the Friends of the Blue Hills for two FREE guided nature hikes designed especially for children ages 6 to 12 and their families.

Kids will explore local trails, look for plants and wildlife, and sketch what they see!

Each 2-hour hike offers a fun, hands-on way to experience the outdoors. No prior hiking or experience needed.

Registered participants will meet at 821 West Street, Braintree. Just look for the small trail and picnic table.

Join us Saturday September 12th at 10:30am for the TPL Writer's Group monthly meeting. The TPL Writers Group meeting meets one Saturday a month, September-November and January-June on a drop-in basis. Share advice, ask questions, and discuss works in progress with other writers in the area.

Join the Thayer Public Library on Saturday September 12th at 2:00pm as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary with a captivating live performance by the Delvena Theater Company, titled All the Presidents Women.

Delve into the intriguing lives of the United States presidents and the influential women behind them, including wives, mothers and more. Uncover the shocking truths and hidden secrets and experience history in a fun and entertaining way!

This program is offered as part of the nation's 250th celebrations and made possible by the use of State Aid to Public Library Funds. Free and open to all.

Do you enjoy playing board games? Card games? Then have we got a cool program for you! Monthly Board Game Nights for Adults! Monday September 14th at 7:00pm in the Reading Room. **Please note that due to the September holiday, we are meeting one week later than normal, but we will be back to our normal 7:00pm start time!

Stop in solo or bring a friend and join us for game night the first Monday of the month at 7-8:30pm [6:00-7:30pm during Summer Hours] in the Reading Room. Bring a game you think others would like to play, one you have at home but need help learning, or try one of ours! Competitive & collaborative board games and card games encouraged!

No registration required- this is a drop-in program- but folks who do register will be sent a program reminder 3 days before. Depending on who else is there will determine which games you play first 😎📖🎛

September is library card sign up month! No matter what your tastes are, a library card hits all the right notes!

Check out a classic story or hit shuffle and try something new. Find harmony at your library’s book clubs, movie nights, crafting classes, and author talks. A headphone kind of day? Find your focus in a study room or vibe out in a cozy nook. Compose your future with new skills in your library’s makerspace or check out instruments and tools in the Library of Things. No matter what rhythm you find yourself in, there’s a seat in the front row at the library for you.
