When you know better, you do better. That’s been my motto for quite some time. I am hoping the information I brought to the council meeting on Monday night regarding the airport helps our council members do better. Limiting the airport levy to $1000 is not benefiting anyone. Oliver and I had a productive day of meetings, capped off by a screening of Americans with No Address. I am truly humbled by the dedication of our community members working to alleviate homelessness, one person at a time.

We are almost at Election Day and let me tell you, I am jazzed! I have gotten to know so many folks during this campaign and couldn’t be more proud to live in such a wonderful place. This image resonates deeply with me, capturing Oliver's profound community impact. My volunteer work has allowed me to connect with extraordinary individuals I may have otherwise missed. I've met children whose smiles and hugs for Ollie are unforgettable, and people who share moving stories about their pets, occasionally shedding tears due to loss or life's struggles. For me, this epitomizes public service: driving positive change, supporting others, and making decisions that benefit the community. Why are you running?

I am a servant leader who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of others. I take a no nonsense approach to government through accountability and transparency. I value my neighbors feedback and want to do the best I can for my community.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I am not a rubber stamp when it comes to voting. I research issues, gather feedback, and make decisions based on data. I lead with integrity and do what I say I will do. I'm a straight shooter and will let you know what I think in a respectful way.

I am attending the Brainerd Lakes Area Housing Summit today and learning lots about ways in which our area can grow our housing inventory.

I ran into Kara Terry at the Summit. Crow Wing County has a lot of staff that are high-flyers and probably none more so than Kara. She gets it and works tirelessly to support the needs of our residents. Thank you, Kara.
