Our June blood drive will take place on Thursday 6/18/26 from 2-6pm in the meeting room at Braidwood City Hall. Pre-registration is highly recommended, but walk-ins are always welcome.

...Funnel Clouds Possible...

Conditions are favorable for the development of funnel clouds, which could potentially become landspout tornadoes. Landspout
tornadoes tend to be short lived and less intense than the more dangerous supercell tornado counterparts. Conditions are not
currently favorable for the development of damaging tornadoes. Should you spot a landspout tornado, seek shelter in a sturdy
structure.

We are looking for help with a community patriotic beautification project in preparation for America's 250th Anniversary on the 4th of July.

When: Saturday June 27, 2026
Time: 10:00am
Volunteers will meet in the parking lot across from the Police Department at Main St./Center St. for instructions and to receive supplies.
(Rain Date: Sunday June 28th, same time)

What: We will be placing red, white and blue vinyl streamers around poles along Braidwood's Main Street from Division St. to Comet Drive, as well as Front St. from McDonald's to Subway.

Help will be divided into teams and assigned designated starting points.

Part‑Time Street Department Position, that is hired by Commissioner Dale Walsh.

The City of Braidwood is accepting applications for a part‑time summer position with the Street Department. This role will assist with grass cutting, general maintenance, and other assigned tasks throughout the summer season.

Position Details

· Department: Street Department

· Status: Part‑time, non‑union

· Pay: $15.00

· Duties: Grass cutting, grounds maintenance, and miscellaneous labor tasks as assigned

Applicant Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old
Must possess a valid Driver’s License
Ability to perform outdoor physical labor
