I, Tony Bucholz, Post Commander, along with the members of VFW Post 3234, made the decision to cancel the pancake breakfast at our meeting on Tuesday, September 1st.

The decision was made due to logistical and timing concerns. We understand that the Chamber has blocked off Memory Lane for years during the Goat Cook-Off to help control access and traffic to the event. After discussing the situation, we felt that trying to manage traffic going to the VFW while also managing traffic for the event could create unnecessary confusion and safety concerns.

We did reach out to the Chamber prior to the event and asked if their entrance could be moved past the VFW. However, because their plans were already in place, making a last-minute change was difficult.

Moving forward, we will work with the Chamber for next year to find a solution that works well for everyone involved. We also plan to host another event soon and look forward to continuing to serve and support our community.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who supports VFW Post 3234 and, most importantly, ALL of our veterans. The VFW is a nonprofit organization, and we are working hard to rebuild our Post so that we can better serve our veterans and our community.

We truly appreciate your continued support, patience, and understanding.

We’re excited to see everyone! Just a quick reminder!

🚫No outside food or drinks preferred. We are a nonprofit organization, and our concessions help us raise money to support the VFW and our community programs.

Beer is allowed, but please drink responsibly and respectfully.

We want everyone to have a great time, so please be respectful of our volunteers, staff, and fellow bingo players.

We appreciate your support and understanding! Your purchases at the concession stand help us continue giving back to our veterans and community. 🇺🇸
