With this weather coming; we would advise people to not travel unless absolutely necessary. Frequent trouble roads are Olean Road, Derrick Road and South Kendall Avenue. Keep this in mind if you absolutely have to travel today, that these roads and likely all roads could be nearly impossible to travel on. Slow down and be aware of your surroundings.

Warren, McKean, Elk, Clearfield, Cambria, Somerset
β οΈ What to Expect:
β’ Around ΒΌ inch of ice accumulation
β’ Prolonged freezing rain (6β9 hours)
β’ Minimal snow/sleet, but enough to worsen road conditions
β’ Tree damage and power outages likely
β’ Travel may become nearly impossible, especially Friday evening
π‘ Even after rain ends, patchy freezing drizzle may continue overnight.
π PENNDOT TIERED VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS
Due to deteriorating conditions, Tier 3 restrictions are going into effect on most major interstates and highways statewide starting:
π 10:00 AM Friday
π Additional corridors added at 2:00 PM Friday
Tier 3 means:
π« ALL commercial vehicles WITHOUT chains or approved ATDs are RESTRICTED
Restricted in ALL tiers:
β’ Oversized loads
β’ Tractors without trailers
β’ Empty box trucks
β’ Motorcycles
β’ Tow-behind trailers
β’ RVs / campers
β’ Buses without ATDs
β οΈ Chains may be REQUIRED if conditions worsen
This impacts I-80, I-81, I-79, I-76 (Turnpike), I-99, I-70, I-83, I-84, I-90, I-95, I-376, I-476, I-78, PA-43, PA-576, PA-66, PA-33, US-22, and more.
