The third day and second week of CARE for Children's Summer Day Camp was a fun one!

On Tuesday, campers had a music-filled morning, with a session on making maracas and a special visit from musical guest Jim Ronan in partnership with SPARK Arts. After the performance, campers enjoyed outdoor activities and a trip to the pool.

This camp serves school-aged children with disabilities and developmental delays, giving them a fun, supportive environment to build on the progress they have made throughout the school year while enjoying a traditional camp experience.

Camp is made possible through a grant from the Dr. Lyle F. Renodin Foundation, a ministry of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, New York. We are so grateful for their support in making this program a reality!

The second day and first week of CARE for Children's Summer Day Camp has come to a close!

On Thursday, campers got the chance to put together beaded bubble wands, plant flowers in the flower pots they decorated earlier this week, take a turn at an obstacle course, and hit the cool pool on such a warm day.

A little rain didn't dampen the fun at the 24th Annual CARE for Children Basketball Mini-Camp!

Coaches, campers, and volunteers stuck it out for a great day of skills stations, team activities, and even a group game of hot potato... with a basketball.

A big thank you to the Rotary Club of Bradford and the Italian American Progressive Club (IAPC) for sponsoring this year's camp. We also appreciate the volunteers from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Athletic Department who helped prepare basketballs for the event, as well as the Rotarians who assisted with registration.

CARE's therapeutic recreation programs are funded in part through an annual grant from the United Way of the Bradford Area.

Thank you to all of our coaches, volunteers, therapists, teachers, staff, and campers for making another successful mini-camp possible!

Day one of CARE for Children's Summer Day Camp is in the books! 🎉

Camp is back at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and what a way to kick things off! We were honored to welcome Laura Whitford, President of the Dr. Lyle F. Renodin Foundation, for day one. Campers made bug catchers, painted flower pots, tackled a scavenger hunt, and hit the pool.

This camp serves school-aged children with disabilities and developmental delays, giving them a fun, supportive environment to build on the progress they have made throughout the school year while enjoying a fun camp experience.

Camp is made possible through a grant from the Dr. Lyle F. Renodin Foundation, a ministry of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, New York. We are so grateful for their support in making this program a reality!
