Yesterday, we gathered as a community to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor all those whose lives have been forever affected in the years since.

More than 85 emergency responders stood together, joined by 50+ members of our community, for an evening of remembrance and reflection. Three speakers shared their thoughts on the meaning and lasting impact of that day, followed by a prayer led by our department chaplain. The ceremony concluded with the ringing of the bell and the playing of Taps, solemn reminders of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Following the ceremony, emergency vehicles formed a procession through town, ending on Jackson Avenue where we gathered to view the illuminated Fireman’s Monument. A fitting conclusion to an evening centered on remembrance, service, sacrifice, and community.

Thank you to everyone who participated, attended, and helped make this memorial possible.

We remember those we lost. We honor those who answered the call. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
