We empower adult English Language Learners to participate more actively in our community through English language proficiency.

We also provide Citizenship and Basic Computer courses. Project Light offers on-site classroom-based English language instruction, Computer Basic and Computer Advanced courses, and preparation for the United States Citizenship test.

At Project Light of Manatee, learning English helps open doors to greater participation in our communities and, for many students, supports their journey toward U.S. citizenship. Every new word learned is another step toward reaching personal goals and building a brighter future.

Great news for Manatee County residents! Thanks to the Rotary Club of Bradenton, admission to the Bishop Museum is **FREE** on the following weekends:

📅 June 13–14
📅 September 5–6
📅 December 5–6, 2026
📅 January 9–10, 2027

This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the museum's exhibits, planetarium, history, science, and natural wonders with the whole family.

🎉 Exciting News for Project Light of Manatee! 🎉
We are honored to announce that Project Light of Manatee has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the Bishop-Parker Foundation to support our Pathways to English and Employment project. This funding will help expand access to English language learning and workforce readiness opportunities for adult learners throughout Manatee County.

Approximately 80% of the grant will provide student stipends to help reduce financial barriers such as transportation, childcare, and other essential expenses, while the remaining funds will support instructional materials, digital learning resources, and assessments that strengthen student success.

Through this investment, more adult learners will have the opportunity to improve their English skills, increase workplace communication abilities, pursue employment goals, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

Thank you to the Bishop-Parker Foundation for believing in our mission and supporting educational opportunities that strengthen our community. Together, we are creating pathways to confidence, employment, and lifelong success.

In Memory of Ann Griffin

It is with great sadness that we remember Ann Griffin, co-founder of Project Light of Manatee and a devoted board member for more than 30 years.

Ann's vision, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to education helped transform countless lives and create opportunities for generations of students. Her kindness, humor, and leadership were at the heart of Project Light and will continue to inspire us for years to come.

We are grateful for all she gave to our community and will forever cherish her legacy.
