Good evening,
I received a weather briefing from the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) regarding the potential for very heavy rainfall and flash flooding overnight tonight, September 30, into Thursday, October 1. According to the briefing, storms could also become severe, with damaging wind gusts as the main threat. Large hail and tornadoes cannot be completely ruled out. The exact location and amount of rainfall remain uncertain, so please stay alert as conditions change. Please take time this evening to prepare:

• Keep your phone charged and weather alerts enabled, including overnight.
• Have flashlights and essential supplies ready.
• Secure loose outdoor items.
• Avoid flooded roads and low-water crossings. Never drive around barricades.
• Check on neighbors and family members who may need assistance.

Please follow the National Weather Service and local officials for updated forecasts and warnings. If you encounter a flooded roadway turnaround. Let’s look out for one another and keep our community safe.
