League of Women Voters of the Bozeman Area

League of Women Voters of the Bozeman Area Making Democracy Work. The Bozeman League meets at 11:45 at Pilgrim Congregational Church on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month from September through May.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Programs are typically on a local, state or national topic of concern to League members. Some past topics included: the Affordable Care Act, coal trains going through Bozeman and a legislative wrap-up after the conclusion of the legislative session.

January 27 - Bill Warden will be speaking to us about Medicaid Expansion and what is happening in the 2025 Montana Legislature concerning this issue. Bill is a former state legislator and is currently a lobbyist for Bozeman Health, St. Peter's in Helena, and Shodair Children's Hospital.

The Bozeman League of Women Voters will meet on Monday, January 13, and hear a presentation by the local League members who are on the state LWV education committee. The presentation will focus on education issues that may be addressed by the 2025 state legislature. The Bozeman League meets at 11:45 a.m. at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 2118 S. The Bozeman League of Women Voters will meet on Monday, October 28, and host a presentation by Susan Dana on the U.S. Supreme Court and Montana cases involving gerrymandering and voting. Susan holds her JD from Stanford Law School and is retired from the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship at MSU, where she served as a professor, an associate dean, and an interim dean.
