On Sunday, May 31, around 4:30 a.m., BBPD Officers responded to the 100 block of Northwest 6th Avenue for reports of a disturbance. While en route to the disturbance, BBPD Communications received an additional call that reported a man had been stabbed. Upon arrival, officers located 36-year-old Jameson Jean of Delray Beach who was suffering from multiple, severe stab wounds. Officers rendered aid until Boynton Beach Fire Rescue arrived and transported Jean to the hospital as a trauma alert.

Officers on scene quickly identified the suspect as 37-year-old Olguens Michaud of Boynton Beach. It was determined that both Jean and Michaud were at a graduation party when the two began to argue. Michaud left the party and returned shortly after to confront Jean again, at which point the stabbing occurred. Michaud then left the area on foot.

A BBPD K-9 was deployed and tracked officers from the crime scene to Michaud’s residence, on NE 6th Avenue. Michaud was not located, and it was determined that he had fled the area on a bicycle. While maintaining security at the residence, road patrol officers observed Michaud return to the residence.

Olguens Michaud was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder and is currently being held at the Palm Beach County Jail. Jameson Jean is in stable but critical condition.

The following arrests highlight the ongoing work of the Boynton Beach Police Department’s Human Exploitation Unit. Our goal is simple - combat exploitation, protect our community’s most vulnerable, and hold individuals who commit crimes accountable.

• 60-year-old Paul Dominguez was arrested on April 1 for traveling to Boynton Beach to meet who he believed was a 14-year-old boy. Dominguez confessed and was charged with Traveling to Meet a Minor, Transmission of Materials Harmful to Minors, Unlawful Use of Two-Way Device, and Solicitation of a Minor to Engage in Sexual Conduct.

• 37-year-old Treymon Goldwire was arrested on April 15 for traveling to Boynton Beach to meet who he believed was a 14-year-old boy. Goldwire confessed and was charged with Traveling to Meet a Minor, Transmission of Materials Harmful to Minors, Unlawful Use of Two-Way Device, and Solicitation of a Minor to Engage in Sexual Conduct. Goldwire is currently on probation for armed robbery.

• 46-year-old Michael Lentz was arrested on May 20 for soliciting Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) from who he believed was a 15-year-old boy. Lentz is a registered Sexual Offender with FDLE on federal probation for possession of CSAM. Lentz was taken into federal custody, where he provided a confession. He was subsequently charged with six violations of supervised release, five felony counts related to failure to register as a s*x offender and other registration violations, as well as Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communications Device and Solicitation of a Minor to Engage in Sexual Conduct.

• 38-year-old William Ressler was arrested on May 20 for Transmission of Materials Harmful to Minors, Unlawful Use of Two-Way Device, and Solicitation of a Minor to Engage in Sexual Conduct. Ressler began chatting with who he believed was a 14-year-old girl in September. During the chat, Ressler set-up a meet with the girl at a local hotel.

Online exploitation is real. Parents and guardians should stay alert for warning signs like unexplained money, older relationships, unexplained travel, or sudden behavior changes. Report suspicious activity to the Boynton Beach Police Department at 561-732-8116.

BBPD’s Human Exploitation Task Force arrested 46-year-old Michael Lentz of Lee County after he solicited who he believed was a 15-year-old boy online for s*x and explicit images.

BBPD Detectives found that Lentz is a registered s*xual offender currently on federal probation for possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). As a result of the investigation, he was taken into federal custody for six violations of supervised release, while the Lee County Sheriff’s Office charged him with five felony s*x offender registration violations.

Today, BBPD charged Lentz with Solicitation of a Minor to Engage in Sexual Conduct and Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device.

This investigation demonstrates that criminal activity does not stop at jurisdictional boundaries, underscoring the importance of strong collaboration among local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.
