How did we get so lucky to have the volunteers we have? Sweet Nancy Staley poses with some pine cone earrings she made while assisting District Manager, Alison Adams, at the Summer Reading Challenge Kick-off party at the Charlevoix Public Library on Saturday. Parents learned about the districts programs while kids created Pine Cone Bird Seed feeders at our station. Silly Nancy 🥰

Having a blast at the Summer reading club kickoff party today! Volunteer, Nancy Staley, joined district manager, Alison Adams, with pine cone bird seed feeder making fun and other goodies from the conservation district for the afternoon. Many other local groups were on site to share other fun activities for the kiddos, including Kiwanis, Charlevoix Garden Club, Cheri from Raven Hill Discovery Center and more! ☺️

Annual Native Plant Sale success! We’re a little late on our follow up post but never short on appreciation for the support we receive from our local landowners, amazing volunteers, and conservation partners!

So many things to be thankful for in our local communities of Charlevoix County! What an amazing Native Plant Sale - our best one yet - many thanks to our conservation partners for their help with our sale, and the landowners who will be doing the hard work to plant the native plants for pollinators, wildlife habitat, clean water and healthy soil.

And a special thanks to our local CAKE CISMA and Go Beyond Beauty for recognizing the importance of our Native Plant Educational Garden for local wildlife AND humans 💗💗
