Chase City Elementary School is proud to kick off Guys with Ties and Girls with Pearls!

These programs will help students build confidence, practice leadership, strengthen communication skills and learn the value of presenting themselves with pride and purpose.

We are excited to watch our Cubs grow into confident young leaders, one tie and one pearl at a time!

More GREATNESS worth recognizing!

Our MCPS Compass of Greatness continues to shine a spotlight on the people who make Mecklenburg County Public Schools a better place to learn, work, and grow.

With each new round of nominations, our employees are telling the stories of their colleagues: the ones who step up, pitch in, encourage others, solve problems, support students, and do the little things that often make the biggest difference.

To our newest Compass of Greatness honorees, your work has been noticed. More importantly, it was meaningful enough that someone took the time to make sure others noticed it, too.

Congratulations, and thank you for the many ways you contribute to MCPS!

Our Compass keeps pointing to GREATNESS!

The MCPS Compass of Greatness recognitions have been rolling in, and we have a lot of greatness to celebrate!

This latest group of honorees represents employees from across MCPS who were nominated by their colleagues for the ways they make a difference every day.

Some were recognized for going above and beyond for students. Others for being the coworker who always steps in, solves the problem, lends a hand, offers encouragement, or simply makes the day a little better for everyone around them.

That is exactly what the Compass of Greatness is about: giving our employees the opportunity to recognize the great work they see happening around them.

Congratulations to all of our newest Compass of Greatness honorees!

And keep those nominations coming. If you see greatness happening in MCPS, recognize it.

See greatness. Recognize greatness. Keep MCPS moving forward.

Munch & Pinkie are excellent educators.

Caring for these two orphan goats means regular exercise, lots of attention and plenty of hands-on care. More importantly, they give our students a real-world look at the responsibility, compassion and commitment that come with animal agriculture. That’s what FFA and agricultural education are all about: learning by doing.
