Congratulations to our Emergency Management Coordinator, Cody Powell, on being recognized as the Chair of REPAC (Regional Emergency Preparedness Advisory Committee)!

This recognition reflects Cody’s commitment to strengthening emergency preparedness for our county.

Emergency Management is much more than responding to disasters. It focuses on preparing for emergencies before they happen, coordinating resources during incidents, and helping communities recover afterward.

At Wise County ESD No. 1, Emergency Management and the Fire Department are closely connected. While our firefighters respond to emergencies on the front lines, our Emergency Management develops emergency plans, coordinates with local and state resources, manages resources during large-scale incidents, and helps build a more resilient community.

Together, these efforts ensure our residents receive the best possible response before, during, and after emergencies.

Please join the Wise County Office of Emergency Management in congratulating Cody Powell, Wise County's Emergency Management Coordinator, on completing his term as Chair of the Regional Emergency Preparedness Advisory Committee (REPAC).
