Please join us in welcoming Reserve Officer Jeffrey Landgren to the Harvard Police Department!

Jeff recently retired from our neighbors in Boxborough after 25 years of service, and he officially joined our team. Retirement didn’t slow him down for long though. His love for the job and commitment to public service brought him back into uniform, and we’re lucky to have his experience, professionalism, and steady presence here in Harvard.

Welcome aboard, Jeff. We’re glad you’re with us! 👮‍♂️💙

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the sudden and untimely passing of active duty Dispatcher Roger Wallace.

Hired in 2001, Roger was a dedicated professional whose calm presence, experience, and commitment to service made a lasting impact on all of us and on the community we serve. Roger’s work supported countless responders in moments that mattered most, and his absence will be deeply felt across our Acton First Responder Family.

Further information regarding memorial arrangements will be shared when available.

Roger’s family relied upon his income for daily needs and this tragic loss has placed a significant financial burden on them during this very difficult time. The family has created a GoFundMe account to help offset some of these costs and a link to this page can be found here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/funds-for-roger-wallaces-funeral-and-family-needs

Please keep Roger’s family, friends, and coworkers in your thoughts as we collectively mourn this loss.

We know how hard it can be to keep up with all the different forecasts so we thought we would help you out. Below is an overall breakdown and weather forecast based on the dozens of different reports we have seen. We are still working on our ďżźmeteorology verbiage, so give us a break.

Sunday January 18th: Snow will start anywhere between 6am and 3pm and be light. It may also be heavy but more than likely it will be light. Between 3pm-8pm it will be heavy, like really heavy, like STAY OFF THE ROADS heavy. The snow should move out anywhere between midnight tonight and noontime tomorrow. It’s going to be cold, like below freezing cold, so it should all be snow. However, it could also rain. There is a chance that if the wind blows in a certain direction we get no snow at all. But we think it’s safe to say we are looking at a 2-8 inch range with the possibility of 16 inches locally.

This has been an exclusive Winter Weather Update from your trusted friends at BPOA.

Stay safe! ❄️☃️

Our members have had a busy afternoon and early evening with the winter weather hitting us hard. Evening shift patrols have responded to multiple crashes including 5 sperate crashes in under 60 minutes. If you can stay off the roads please do.

Thankfully the image of the crash below occurred over the town line and was the responsibility of our friends at the Littleton Police Association Local 204. We made sure to drive by with our lights and sirens on and shout " YOU CAN'T PARK THERE!"

After more than two decades of dedicated service, Officer Jeffrey Landgren is officially retiring from the Boxborough Police Department.

Officer Landgren began his career with Boxborough on May 1, 2000, and quickly became a steady, dependable presence on the department’s midnight shift. While most citizens were asleep, Jeff was out patrolling our roads, answering calls, and keeping the community safe through countless late nights and difficult moments.

Beyond his patrol duties, Officer Landgren spent many years as a valued member of CEMLEC’s Crash Reconstruction Team. Through his meticulous work and professionalism, he helped bring answers and closure to families during some of the most difficult times of their lives.

Jeff also made a lasting impact on Boxborough’s youth through his years as a D.A.R.E. instructor at the Blanchard Elementary School, building positive relationships and helping guide students with lessons that extended far beyond the classroom.

He also spent a large part of his career as the departments Union President representing our Local 200 Union. During this time he helped countless officers with a variety of challenges, negotiated multiple collective bargaining agreement contracts, and help raise money and funds for local scholarships and donations.

Officer Landgren’s commitment, work ethic, and calm professionalism will forever leave a lasting mark on this department and the community he served. We thank him for his 25 years of service, sacrifice, and dedication, and we wish him nothing but the best in a well-earned retirement.

Congratulations, and stay safe 108! 🇺🇸
