Firefighters spent the day with the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services training in the flashover trailer onsite in Boxborough.

A flashover is the rapid transition from a growing fire to a fully developed fire in an enclosed space. It occurs when the heat from the fire raises the temperature of nearly all combustible materials in the room until they ignite almost simultaneously.

Understanding flashover is essential for firefighters and fire safety professionals because recognizing its warning signs can help prevent fatal accidents and guide safe evacuation.

We had a great time earlier this week driving Teddy and Claire to school.

In the early morning hours on Thursday, Boxborough Fire along with our mutual partners from Bolton and Harvard responded on a joint response to Route 495 for a serious motor vehicle accident.

Lifeflight landed on the highway to transport one patient and Boxborough A1 along with Pro ALS transported one patient via ground to UMass Worcester.
