MIYO COHORT 1 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN
Miyo Youth Wellness Center is excited to launch our first-ever Cohort Program for youth entering 1st–3rd grade this summer.
We know families may have questions, so here is a simple overview of what to expect:
βœ… What is Cohort 1?
Cohort 1 is a small-group wellness program designed to help children build healthy habits, confidence, positive relationships, cultural connections, and social-emotional skills through hands-on activities and supportive adult mentorship.
βœ… What Cohort 1 is NOT
This is not summer school, tutoring, or academic remediation. While youth will learn and grow every day, the focus is on whole-child wellness and development.
βœ… How the Application Process Works
β€’ Families must complete an application for each child in grades 1-3.
β€’ Applications are available at Miyo and will also be sent home through local schools.
β€’ Completing an application does not guarantee selection.
β€’ Applications will be reviewed, and 20 youth will be selected to participate in Cohort 1.
βœ… Program Details
πŸ“… June 22 – August 14
πŸ•£ Monday–Friday | 8:30 a.m. – 2:30p.m
Incoming 1st–3rd Grade Students

βœ… More opportunities are coming! Cohort 1 is limited to 20 youth, but additional Miyo Pathways opportunities for many more youth will be announced in the coming days. If your child is not selected for Cohort 1, there will still be ways to participate at Miyo this summer!
πŸ“Œ Applications close June 10.
πŸ“Œ Families will be notified by June 16.
We are excited to begin this next phase of Miyo and look forward to partnering with families as we help youth build strong foundations for a healthy future.

For questions or to pick up an application, please contact Miyo Youth Wellness Center at 406-395-1866, email [email protected], or stop by the front desk. πŸ’™πŸ’š

The Star Family did not forget and want to recognize *Maleah R. Morsette* who is a proud member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe. She is the daughter of Michael Morsette and Willdette Duran, and the granddaughter of Harvey Sr., Debra Morsette, and Gloria Little Owl.

In a courageous and determined step, Maleah left Rocky Boy High School during her senior year in 2025 to enlist in the United States Army, becoming the first grandchild among more than twenty grandchildren to answer the call to military service. On *August 12, 2025*, Maleah officially enlisted in the United States Army. With the unwavering support of her stepmother, *Rose Lamere*, and encouragement from many family members, she embarked on a journey of service and personal growth. On *October 21, 2025*, she departed for Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, Maleah successfully graduated from Basic Combat Training on *February 12, 2026*.

While serving her country and pursuing her military career, she remained committed to completing her education. On *May 28, 2026*, Maleah graduated from Rocky Boy High School, with her sister, *Mary Ann*, proudly accepting her diploma on her behalf.

Maleah is currently attending *Advanced Individual Training (AIT)*, where she is training in her Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) as a *14H Air Defense Enhanced Early Warning System Operator*. Her dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence continue to pave the way for a promising future in military service. Maleah's accomplishments have brought immense pride to her family, community, and the Chippewa Cree Tribe. Her journey is a testament to courage, perseverance, and the strength to forge her own path. She serves as an inspiration to future generations, demonstrating that determination and hard work can turn dreams into reality.

Congratulations Maleah and the Star Family is proud of you! Forever a Star! Be Safe!
