After a week of politics, a night of boxing. We traveled to Billings, MT for the Battle of the Badges where Ellsworth AFB’s own Mondrell Mincey won the Active Duty Championship with a second round TKO!! Incredible and technical performance!

There’s no misleading in boxing; there’s no lying, no rhetoric; there’s no cowardice or trolls in the ring! It’s all honesty-just doing your work positively and the better fighter wins. Boxing > politics!!

Hey all- thank you for all of the support over the last few months- this campaign was conducted with integrity and honor, and although the result wasn’t what I would have liked- it was an incredible experience! I will complete the term and attend the committee meetings and continue to do my best for the future of the District! Thank you!!

Hey all!! I know some of you have gotten text messages about one of my votes. Please understand I don’t vote for a bill’s title, which may sound fantastic. It’s the DETAILS of a bill that matters and I don’t go for headlines or sensationalism!

Bear in mind I spent an entire career protecting children, not talking about protecting children. I spent an entire career supporting and defending the Constitution, not talking about it.

The details matter! Thank you for your support!!

Weekend wrap up!!! Knocked on doors, threw out the first pitch at the Black Hills Veterans Classic American Legion tournament, and had a meet and greet at Jerry’s Donuts. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped campaign this weekend. I’m truly blessed. This weekend has reinforced what an incredible community we live in. Tuesday is the primary and I’d appreciate your vote!

I am deeply honored to get the Fraternal Order of Police Rapid City Lodge 2 endorsement! This organization means everything to me and has been a part of my life for decades. I will continue to earn the members’ trust. Thank you to Lodge 2 for hosting the candidates last night.

I had a great evening meeting people in District 35. Talking to so many wonderful people and families motivates me to get back to Pierre and use my leadership experience to represent the District. Knocking on doors is even more fun when you have great partners!

Memorial Day

My family has a long history of military service. I’m a second generation Marine, my wife is a current service member, my grandfather served in WWII. My family’s military service dates all the way back to the Revolutionary War, serving in nearly every war.

My family has also sacrificed. My grandfather’s brother, my great uncle George Mundt, was Killed In Action in France on July 20th, 1918. He is buried in Oise Ainse American Cemetery northeast of Paris.

My wife and I visited Uncle George one hundred years later, in 2018. We were the first family members to visit since 1935, when my great-grandmother visited her son. The American Legion post in Bethel, Maine is named in his honor.

Today, the fallen are in our thoughts; we remember the sacrifices and the blank check they wrote so that we can live our lives in freedom in the greatest country on Earth. God bless the service members, God bless the fallen, and God bless America!
