The North Central Region (NCR) held a sUAS (small Unmanned Aircraft Systems) training event this weekend, with representatives from every wing in the region in attendance.

The two-day training included full days of classroom instruction and flight operations, providing Civil Air Patrol members with valuable hands-on training. The event also included Sioux Falls Fire Rescue and the South Dakota Air National Guard, bringing multiple agencies together to strengthen sUAS knowledge, skills, and coordination.

Training opportunities like this help prepare Civil Air Patrol members to support emergency services missions and work alongside local and state partners.

The Lincoln County Squadron holds its weekly meetings at the Lincoln County EAA building, and one of the ways the squadron gives back is by volunteering at events sponsored by EAA Chapter 289.
The monthly pancake breakfast helps the EAA raise funds for EAA scholarships while also building awareness and support for the local Airport.
At last Saturday’s breakfast, Lincoln County Cadet Bockholt took on the job of cooking all the sausage links for the breakfast, completely by himself!
It’s a great example of how our cadets learn the value of service, responsibility, and being part of their community
