Judge Executive Gorman has issued a burn ban for Warren County until further notice.

The monthly tornado siren test will take place this Friday, September 4th, at 12:00 noon. These routine tests help ensure that all sirens and related systems are operating properly. Siren testing is conducted on the first Friday of each month, weather permitting, and will be postponed if severe weather is in the area.

Warren County Public Library will have cooling centers open Wednesday - Friday of this week. Details are below.

Warren County Public Library is opening cooling centers at two branches, Wednesday through Friday. Free. Air conditioned. No sign-in, no story required.

Who it's for: anybody. The roofer who just clocked out. The grandma whose window unit finally quit. The mom hauling three kids in a van where the AC blows warm. The teenager with nowhere to be until six. You. Tell whoever needs a rescue.

Heat is the quiet one. It doesn't knock over trees or make the news like a tornado does, and it kills more Americans every year than any other kind of weather. So drink water before you're thirsty, check on the neighbor you haven't seen in a couple days, and knock on the door of the guy who insists he's fine.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed Warren County under a Slight Risk for strong to severe storms this evening. The main hazard is damaging wind gusts but stay weather aware for any developments.

At 03:15PM, Warren County Emergency Management was notified of a possible tornado touchdown near the Murphy Road area. After a quick investigation of storm damage, we have determined that a tornado has NOT touched down.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has Warren County under a Marginal risk (1/5) for severe weather for the rest of the day. This does not include a tornado risk.
