The Wood County Veterans Service Commission invites you to our 2026 Veterans Day Lunch & Resource Fair!

📅 Saturday, November 7, 2026
📍 Wood County Fairgrounds – Junior Fair Building

This annual event is an opportunity to bring our veteran community together for lunch, fellowship, and access to valuable veteran resources from organizations serving Wood County and the surrounding area.

Open to all Wood County veterans and one guest.
Registration is limited, so don't wait to reserve your spot!

When you walk through the doors of a Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) building,
please remember why it exists.

This is not just a social space.
It is a place built for Veterans—
men and women who served our country with honor, courage, and sacrifice.

Some carry visible scars.
Others carry silent ones.
All carried the weight of service so we could live in freedom.

VFW 1148 sponsored the Ring of Dreams at the Wood County Fair and one of our members competed in this marvelous event.

 Seeing these  young adults compete in this event, brings tears to your eyes. It was a packed house. Congratulations to one of our own Nicole. You did an excellent job. We are proud of you.
