JEFFERSON DRIVE - Due to major infrastructure work being done on Jefferson Drive, only residents who live on Jefferson will be allowed access on this street.

Splash Pad visitors - please use North parking lot only. The West side parking lot will be closed off until further notice. Only Jefferson Drive residents will be allowed to utilize this parking lot during the construction work.

COMPOST AREA - due to illegal dumping, the City has had to adjust hours at the compost.

New hours at the City Compost on Bus Hwy 54 West are Monday and Wednesday, 8am-4pm and Saturday, 8am-2pm. NO CONTRACTORS allowed.

We apologize for the inconvenience of everyone because of the problems cause by only a few. We do have cameras on sight. Anyone caught dumping illegally or dumping materials not allowed, tickets will be issued.

CHANGES FOR USE OF CITY COMPOST
While most residents follow the existing rules, the City has experienced ongoing challenges at the City Compost with consistent illegal dumping. To ensure fairness for everyone, the City is updating these rules effective immediately.

The City Compost will only be open to City residents on Wednesday, 8am-4pm and Saturday, 8am-2pm.

Contractors are no longer allowed to dump at the City Compost.

STORM SHELTERS - The Church of the Nazarene and the High Rise will be open today/tonight for those who do not have somewhere safe to shelter during the potential storms.

For the High Rise, please enter through the West end side door (faces Champ Clark Drive). For the Nazarene Church, there will be a sign on the door stating where to go.

CITY HALL CLOSING at 12:30pm. With the possibility of very severe weather coming in this afternoon, Bowling Green City Hall will be closing. We want to encourage everyone to stay home, or someplace safe.
