Earlier this month our office, in collaboration with Wood County Department of Job and Family Services, planted pinwheels to represent the children impacted by abuse in Wood County. Our office will continue to tirelessly advocate for children so that they feel safe and protected in our communities.

In Ohio, the County Prosecutor's Office handles all felony offenses committed by adults as well as all offenses committed by juveniles. Additionally, the Prosecutor's office is the legal advisor for all county offices and agencies, the libraries, townships, etc. On National Prosecutor's Day, I want to give a shout out and a huge thank you to these four hard working folks. They are the Chief Assistant Prosecutors of the Criminal, Juvenile, and Civil Divisions of the office. On top of their own caseloads, they oversee the work of each of the divisions, hand out assignments, distribute cases, and keep me advised on the environment, morale, and concerns- what I call the fabric- of the office. These folks are working inside and outside of the office before the lights come on and long after they've gone off. Wood County is a safer, more secure, and more well-administered place because of these four and the staff they serve. Thank you Jim Hoppenjans, Pamela Gross, Brian Boos, and Chuck Bergman!
