GREAT NEWS WARREN COUNTY!!!

Motorists are now driving on the new alignment on KY 185 in the northern part of Warren County.

Motorists were switched over to the new alignment Wednesday afternoon. The new alignment is located just east of the old KY 185 corridor near Runner Road reconnecting south of KY 1320.

The realignment spans 1.8 miles and feature wider travel lanes, straighter roadway and better sight distance.

The project is not fully completed. Work is expected to continue until later this summer. Motorists should use caution.

Pruitt Road remains closed until further notice.

The old section of KY 185 that remains has been renumbered to KY 3557.

HEADS UP SIMPSON COUNTY!! A paving project on U.S. 31-W on the north side of the county has started!

Expect delays during nighttime hours for about a week or so depending on weather.

Great news for those that travel on KY 185. Thanks to a break in the rain crews have been able to work this morning. It is expected for motorists to be switched to the alignment by this afternoon if the weather holds.

🚧 Traffic on KY 185 in northern Warren County is expected to shift to the new roadway alignment later this week as the project enters its final stages.

Once traffic moves, access from Pruitt Road to KY 185 will temporarily close, with a signed detour in place via Lodge Hall Road. Drivers should watch for message boards and allow extra travel time.

The 1.8-mile realignment project includes wider lanes and shoulders, plus a new southbound passing lane to improve safety and traffic flow. Additional safety upgrades between KY 1320 and Jack Simmons Road are also underway.

Both projects are expected to wrap up later this summer.

The project is not finished, but paving is complete on KY 2376 just outside Lewisburg in the Spa Community of Logan County. That’s about 2.5 miles of brand new road surface!

HEADS UP FOR EVERYONE TRAVELING TO LOUISVILLE THE NEXT COUPLE OF MONTHS!!

I-65 will close between the Watterson Expressway (I-264) and downtown Louisville (Jefferson Street) June 1 – July 31 to greatly accelerate the work.

Crews are hard at work below three key bridges over I-65 in Louisville.

They’ve been working on the foundations of the bridges since last fall. When the I-65 closure starts, they’re ready to replace the bridge decks.

I-65 will close between the Watterson Expressway (I-264) and downtown Louisville (Jefferson Street) June 1 – July 31 to greatly accelerate the work. The closure saves at least a year of additional restrictions and delays on I-65.

The bridge preservation and restoration project on I-165 over the Green River in Butler County continues to make progress.

The rehabilitation and restoration of the northbound direction is basically complete and crews continue to work on the southbound side.

The bridge is being completely overhauled.

The nearly $19 million investment will put the put bridge in great shape for decades to come.

The bridges are expected to fully reopen later this summer with the entire project expected to be completed later this fall.

Thanks to quick action from workers from contractor Scott & Murphy along with fast response from the Cromwell Fire Department, a small embankment fire was squashed before it turned into a major issue today on I-165 in Butler County.

Crews from Scott & Murphy were working on a nearby bridge project when the fire broke out and sprang into action while notifying fire response.

The fire was caused by something a passing motorist threw out of the their vehicle.

Reminder please don’t throw things out of a vehicle. Not only is it littering, but it could cause fires as well.
