Warren County 4-H What is 4-H? 4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship and lifeskills.

There are over 7 million 4-H'ers in the United States and over 245,000 Kentucky 4-H members making 4-H the largest out-of-school youth program. Everyone, ages nine to nineteen, can particpate in the 4-H program. 4-H is a part of the University of Kentucky College Extension Service. In 4-H youth learn lifeskills they will benefit from forever. The Kentucky 4-H program focuses on seven core content

areas:

•Animal Science
•Communications
•Family and Consumer Sciences
•Leadership
•Health
•Natural Resources
•Science Engineering and Technology (SET)

We invite you to attend our upcoming program titled “Code Red: Universal Safety Planning - Preventing Mental Health Crises.”

During this program, participants will:
- Identify and strengthen personal support networks
- Practice calming and distraction techniques
- Develop strategies to navigate their “very worst day”
- Improve overall resilience

Great night for Warren County 4-H at KY 4-H Teen Conference! Christopher Sweets won the coveted Emerald Award. The highest achievement in KY 4-H. Only 4 receive this award each year. Christopher also won the Lexi Kinder $1,000 college scholarship. And he also won Shooting Sports Program Champion Award. Big night for Christopher! Baylee Belcher was recognized for Gold Achievement, another great honor!! And Kenzie Rotermann was recognized for Silver Achievement and Thomas Brown for Bronze Achievement. Congratulations to all!!
