Maybe you thought:

❌ “I don't know if I could do it.”

Sometimes a child’s behavior is communicating something they don’t have the words to say.

Instead of only asking:
“How do I stop this behavior?”
Try asking:
“What might this child be communicating through this behavior?”

A child may be overwhelmed, scared, frustrated, tired, confused, or unsure how to express what they’re feeling. That doesn’t mean every behavior is acceptable, but understanding the why behind the behavior can help adults respond with greater connection and compassion. Connection before correction. 💙

“Is it fall yet?” *checks weather* 🌡️ Absolutely not. 😂

But that’s not stopping us from getting excited for football, fall outings, family activities, and all the memories September brings! Until the temperatures cooperate… we’ll be over here pretending it’s sweater weather. 🍂😂
