Being your County Councilman isn’t just about legislation and meetings in Towson.

A big part of the job is being boots on the ground, listening to residents, handling constituent issues and getting things done.

Today that meant tracking down a clogged storm drain in Victory Villa after this week’s flooding.

That’s who I am and that’s the kind of County Councilman I intend to be.

She’s my best friend and my partner, going on 24 years now, and I couldn’t do any of this without her.

She’s probably going to strangle me for this post 😂

Help me wish a very happy birthday to my wife.

Happy Birthday! ❤️ Love you!

Iv had a tremendous amount of reports of clogged drains and culverts. If you see one in your community please report it so it can be addressed as quickly as possible.

Eastern Baltimore County is dealing with near-daily thunderstorms that are dumping heavy rain. We have had two days of these events, with a possible third series of thunderstorms on Saturday.

We are aware of issues at major construction sites and have reported these, but in many cases, no amount of fencing will contain such a heavy amount of rain.

We need you to report storm drains and culverts where there may be debris clogging the infrastructure. Please email our office at [email protected] or [email protected].

We are assembling a list. We will do our best over the weekend and into Monday to report issues. Please DO NOT tag me on community pages - please email. I often do not see tagged messages on community pages. Thank you!

🇳🇵 A new restaurant has officially opened in Middle River!

I was invited to join the grand opening and ribbon cutting for Bajeko Sekuwa today and had a chance to meet the owners, check out the new restaurant, and try some authentic Nepali food.

It’s always great to see a new business choose our community and invest right here in Eastern Baltimore County.

Welcome to Middle River, Bajeko Sekuwa! 💙💚

And if you stop in, I highly recommend the Bandel Sekuwa, wild boar grilled with traditional Nepali spices. It was excellent!

🚛 Truck Talk: Grass & Trash Edition

The way we’ve always done things isn’t getting the results we deserve.

Maybe it’s time for some new ideas.

Here’s one of mine. What’s one of yours?

🇺🇸 NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 🚓🚒

We managed to make it to four National Night Out events this evening.

We started at the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company , where we had a tent set up with our volunteers, then stopped by Aero Acres, Henderson Webb on Middleborough Road, and finished the evening at a great gathering at Hawthorne Elementary with the Hawthorne Civic Assoc.

National Night Out is a great opportunity for neighbors to come together, meet their local police officers and first responders, and build the relationships that help make our communities stronger.

Public safety has always been one of my top priorities. I’ll continue advocating for our police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and all of our first responders because strong communities start with public safety.

Thank you to everyone who organized tonight’s events and to all of the volunteers and first responders who make evenings like this possible. 💙💚

We got a little wet today… 🌧️

Still another great day meeting people, having good conversations, running into some familiar faces, and putting some more miles on our shoes.

Time to dry out and do it again. 💙💚
