The Cochise County Library District is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and this October we are looking back at all things 1986!

The bestselling adult fiction that year included:

The Bourne Supremacy / Robert Ludlum
I'll Take Manhattan / Judith Krantz
It / Stephen King
Lake Wobegon Days / Garrison Keillor
Last of the Breed / Louis L'Amour
Lie Down with Lions / Ken Follett
The Mammoth Hunters / Jean M. Auel
A Perfect Spy / John le Carré
Red Storm Rising / Tom Clancy
Wanderlust / Danielle Steel
Whirlwind / James Clavell

Do you remember any of these titles? What else do you remember reading in the 80s?

The Cochise County Library District is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and you can join the celebration with our 1980s-themed Defeat the Ghosts reading challenge! 👻👻👻

The challenge is fun for all ages. Just pick up a game board at your library (or print your own at cochiselibrary.org) in October, and read four books to defeat the four library ghosts. 📕📘📕📘

Turn in your game board by November 25 for a cool incentive and a chance to win a prize. 🏆🏆🏆

Questions? Check in with the library or contact April at the Library District ([email protected] / 520-432-8933). 📞📞📞
