Bowie VFD President JR Bigony took time to stop at Company 19 (Old Town) to present Life Member John Clark with a Maryland State Firefighters Association Certificate of Recognition for his 67 years of service to the Bowie community. John still can be found at the station each day contributing his knowledge and skills to our organization.

Part of the Bowie VFD Drill schedule this evening included Ambulance Driver Training for future drivers. We have an extensive in house training program to prepare Volunteers for the challenge of operating an Ambulance during emergency response mode and patient transport. We appreciate our Volunteers time commitment to both teaching and learning within our training programs.

No cones were injured during this training exercise!

Drill time this evening started off with pump operations. This activity is to train future Engine Company drivers in moving water on the fire ground. At the same time, new Firefighters get practice handling charged attack lines.
