🚨 New Utah E-Bike Law-Effective May 6, 2026🚨

The Bountiful Police Department would like to share new laws surrounding e-bikes and other related vehicles. We are aware that many people in our community use e-bikes regularly, and that some parents may be considering them as a transportation option for their children.

We would like all riders and families to review in the information below and keep them in mind when making decisions about e-bike use. We would like to stress that individuals under the age of 16 may not operate e-motorcycles or high power e-devices on any public roads.

The updates to these laws are intended to promote safety for both riders and the public. By understanding and following these regulations, we can limit accidents and ensure that everyone shares the road responsibly.

The Bountiful City Police Department would like to take this opportunity to recognize our incredible dispatchers during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Appreciation Week!

Our Dispatchers serve more than just the community of Bountiful, as they dispatch for Bountiful, West Bountiful, Centerville, North Salt Lake, Woods Cross, Farmington, and Kaysville Police Departments. They also dispatch for the South Davis Metro Fire, Farmington Fire, and Kaysville Fire Departments.

Behind every call for service is a calm, steady voice guiding the way. Our dispatchers are the first first-responders, answering calls in moments of crisis, gathering critical information, and ensuring our officers, fire, and EMS crews get where they’re needed as quickly and safely as possible.

The Dispatch Center is staffed 24/7. We are proud of how our Dispatchers handle high stress situations with professionalism, compassion, and precision. They often help people through the worst moments of their lives.

Dispatcher are the reason that officers, firefighters and EMS crews are able to respond to calls of service, we could not do our jobs without them.

To our dispatch team: thank you for your dedication, your resilience, and your commitment to serving others. We appreciate everything you do, today and every day.

If you see or know a dispatcher, take a moment to thank them this week!
