It is with much sadness that Bound Brook EMS joins the Bound Brook Police and Fire Department's in mourning the loss of current Police Chief and Ex-Fire Chief Richard S. Colombaroni.

"Ricky" as he was affectionately referred to by his friends, family and colleagues was a lifelong, committed public servant and community leader for the Borough of Bound Brook, serving on the volunteer Rescue Squad, as well, for many years. He amassed over 40 years of service to both the Police Departmemt and the Fire Department.

For Bound Brook EMS, Chief Colombaroni was the prime mover behind the department's creation and he labored to support the department and its development until his final days. His leadership, vision, and selfless drive pushed many around him to be their best and reach their potentials.

Bound Brook EMS is eternally grateful for our role in the community and we remain inspired by Chief Colombaroni's commitment to the Borough of Bound Brook. We carry on with our mission to serve those in need in honor of his memory.

Rest in peace, Chief. You will be missed and fondly remembered always.

Beginning tomorrow 12/5 and continuing through next week, utility crews will be working on Chestnut Street limiting access to the rear of Smalley School. Please plan ahead and be prepared to access the school from 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬. New Jersey American Water has notified all residents of the upcoming work.

🔥 Fire Restrictions Lifted Statewide

Following substantial rainfall overnight, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service has lifted fire restrictions statewide.

Although restrictions have been lifted, the Forest Fire Service asks that New Jerseyans do not become complacent and continue to be careful when using fire.
