Our 2nd graders completed their beautiful "Ojos de Dios" (God's Eyes) - the culmination of a special story about a mother who had to make a gift for el Dios Sol. 2nd grade parents: Ask your child to tell you the story of the mother - ¡en español si sea posible! You might be amazed at how much they remember when the language comes wrapped in narrative and meaning. This is the power of story in language learning. When children experience language through imagination and create something beautiful with their hands, the words stick in ways that worksheets never could.
