If your prior service from a branch other than the Marines and you want to join you have to go through Marine Corps Basic Training ( Boot Camp ). However Marines who want to go into another branch are not required to attend that branches Basic Training. What are your thoughts on this.

Recruits of Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, and Oscar Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, entered the recruit pool for basic water survival training March 2, 2015, on Parris Island, S.C. Recruits learn how to survive in water through a series of exercises, including a 25-meter swim, leaping from a 10-foot tower and quickly shedding combat equipment while underwater. Tomorrow we be meeting at our Boulder office (address below) at 7:50am and leaving for the hike at 8am. Attire will be jeans, recruit shirt, hiking boots or running shoes, water source and warming layers as needed.
