ATTENTION VISITORS!!! The southern or lower parking area will be under construction for the next month. Construction begins Monday, April 27th.

The park will be open for daily visitors.

During this time the lower entrance to the park will be closed. Please use the north entrance and the upper or northern part of the parking lot. Visitors will have to enter the archaeological site first and come into the museum from the back doors until the new sidewalk and handicapped parking area is completed.

Great news for the new year! We have a contract to finish our exhibit. The contractor will be creating a cohesive design that goes with what we have, finishing our panels for the exhibit both inside and out, and adding more murals and graphics. Projected finish date is Memorial Day weekend. We will share details as they come.

Good reminder to come inside during a rain storm. This tree just got struck by lightning today at the park. 🤯It is 150 or so feet to the covered ruin site and the museum. It blew wood all the way across the street to the dumpsters also about 150 ft away.

This past weekend I met up with Amanda Olsen. I have been working on a memorial exhibit for her father John Olsen, who specialized in ancient pottery replication. It’s not quite finished but the exhibit features Johns beautiful pottery, a nice write up about his life, and Bianca Dumas’s acticle about John that was featured in the Summer 2024 edition of Utah Life Magazine. Our intention is to rotate the pottery collection for the next few months featuring a few different pots each month. Pictured are this month’s featured pots.
