POLICE TRAINING TODAY
Thursday, June 11, 2026

Today, Thursday, June 11, the Oswego Police Department, in partnership with the Oswego Fire Protection District and Oswego Community Unit School District 308, will be conducting a large-scale emergency response training exercise.

Residents may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles and personnel, as well as temporary road closures in the area surrounding the Police Department. Specifically, Woolley Road may be closed between Stonehill Road and Douglas Road during portions of the exercise.

In addition to activity near the Police Department, portions of the exercise may take place at select School District 308 facilities. Signs will be posted and residents may observe emergency vehicles, first responders, and simulated emergency response activities at those locations as part of the planned training exercise.

Access to the Police Department will remain available. Personnel will be stationed at road closure points and can assist anyone needing access to the facility.

This training is designed to enhance the coordinated response capabilities of first responders and partner agencies during critical incidents.

While community members may observe simulated emergency response activities as part of today's training exercise, as always, if you observe suspicious activity or believe an emergency is occurring, do not hesitate to call 911.

We appreciate the community's patience and understanding during this important training opportunity.
