This year, The Home’s Hillsborough Village program welcomed an expectant first-time mother named Bayley. She was escaping a violent living situation and, without family to lean on, urgently needed a safe place to prepare for her son’s arrival.

With caring staff and in a place of her own, Bayley found peace, relief and support at Hillsborough Village and the space to envision a brighter future for her and her baby boy.

As an advocate counselor with Wediko New York at The Home, Roberto Quezada supports students who have fallen behind the standard timeline for graduation.

Roberto's kids, many of whom have experienced mental health struggles, learning challenges and other significant hurdles, know they can look to him for guidance, understanding and individualized support as they work toward earning their diploma.

This fall, Roberto is taking his commitment to his students one step further, as he runs the TCS New York City Marathon to raise awareness for the services of Wediko New York that uplift youth and their families. His students can’t wait to cheer him on – and neither can we!

Last month, students from The Home's COVE School’s culinary/life skills program proudly volunteered at the Special Olympics at Otis Air National Guard Base in Bourne. Our students prepared and served a well-rounded meal to participants and volunteers—and thoroughly enjoyed being of service!

This year marked the 12th year that the school has participated in the event, making it a rewarding tradition for youth and staff. We are so proud of our students for seizing this opportunity to support others and showcase their developing culinary skills! 🥖🍝

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Monday, October 5, for the 32nd annual Wells Cup Golf Invitational, benefitting The Home’s range of programs and services! 🏌️‍♀️

Nearly 130 golfers took to the course at Black Rock Country Club, raising over $285,000 to bring healing, hope and loving connections to our youth and families, and that total continues to climb, thanks to our incredible supporters.

It’s a beautiful day on the course for the 32nd annual Wells Cup Golf Invitational! ⛳

Our Wells Cup community has come together at Black Rock Country Club today to help drive permanent, positive change for youth and families of The Home.

Since 2011, The Home's Youth on Fire drop-in center for unhoused youth has partnered with Community Cooks, a Somerville organization connecting volunteers, restaurants and community partners to provide healthy meals to people in need.

Their family-style meals, feeding more than 2,400 individuals each month, provide comfort, ease the stress of food insecurity and, as one of our youth expressed, "make me feel like I’m at home.”

We are so grateful to Community Cooks for their partnership that has nourished Youth on Fire for 15 years! 💚

This November, The Home for Little Wanderers will proudly participate as a first-time official charity partner of the TCS New York City Marathon! 🗽

As our runners prepare to take on NYC’s five boroughs, they’re running for the thousands of young people who count on The Home and programs like Wediko New York.

Wediko New York at The Home partners with public school communities to provide school-based mental health services and programs that improve student engagement and success. Since 2011, Wediko New York has addressed the urgent needs of more than 31,500 youth, helping students navigate their challenges, find community and build skills for a brighter future.💙
