FamilyAid empowers parents and caregivers facing homelessness to secure and sustain housing and build strong foundations for their children's futures.

FamilyAid Boston provides a comprehensive set of services to: prevent families from becoming homeless whenever possible; provide 24/7 emergency shelter so that no family spends a night on the street; help homeless families regain their self-sufficiency and transition into permanent housing; and provide stabilization services such as employment assistance, education enrollment, and financial litera

cy to help ensure that newly-housed families remain in permanent homes. FamilyAid Boston is one of the leading homeless service organizations in Massachusetts, providing critical assistance to more than 4,000 children and parents each year.

That’s a wrap on this year's Summer Fun Series!

From ice cream and music to yoga, face painting, backpacks and our fan-favorite bubble machine, this summer was full of joy and special memories for children in our care. 💙

Parents also connected with community partners to learn about childcare and employment resources.

Every family deserves the security of a place to call home. In the last year, FamilyAid kept 600 children and parents safely housed by providing emergency rental assistance and connecting them with community resources that support long-term stability. When families receive support early, prevention can make all the difference.

In the last year alone our Early Childhood Navigator connected over 300 families to critical childcare and early intervention programs to help children thrive. These connections give families the trusted support and resources they need to re-establish and maintain stability.

Referrals to our homelessness prevention program have increased 53% in the last 16 months, with more children and parents wondering where they will sleep each night. Our Children’s Dream Fund ensures children experiencing housing instability and homelessness have access to joyful, enriching experiences that help them build resilience against the trauma of these experiences.

We're thrilled to welcome Luciano H.Ramos as FamilyAid's next President & CEO!

Throughout his career, Luciano has built community partnerships, secured intensive services for under-resourced communities and led initiatives that expanded economic opportunity for families struggling with poverty. Most recently, he served as Assistant Dean for Partnerships, Engagement and Advancement at Boston University School of Public Health, following leadership roles at Roxbury Community College and UMass Boston.

"I am honored to join FamilyAid and to support the dedicated staff and partners who work every day to strengthen families facing housing insecurity," said Ramos. "FamilyAid's mission aligns deeply with the values shaped by my career and lived experience, and I look forward to working alongside our team and community to expand our impact and help families move from stability to lasting self-sufficiency."
