The entire CHAPA team is so grateful for the 1,200 people who joined us last night and made our 59th Annual Dinner a success, including keynote speaker Senate President Karen E. Spilka. Thank you for celebrating the year’s accomplishments and honoring award winners Greg Reibman, Whitney Demetrius, and Renee Spencer with us.

Each one of you is a partner in this work to ensure everyone has a safe, healthy, and affordable home in Massachusetts. Together, we’re charting a path forward to create the 222,000 homes we need by 2035.

There’s still time to reach the night’s fundraising goal of $25,000 to support this work. A donation of just $22 can help us get there. Donate here to support CHAPA in this goal: https://givebutter.com/c/chapas-59th-dinner

And because our silent auction platform experienced technical difficulties last night, we’re extending the silent auction! Bid before 5 PM today, June 5, to win a host of incredible packages! https://givebutter.com/c/chapas-59th-dinner/auction

The hundreds of housing supporters like you who come together each year at the Dinner to recommit to a better future for Massachusetts always inspire and energize us.

We’ll see you next year for our 60th anniversary on Tuesday, June 1st, 2027!

Congratulations to Whitney Demetrius, HLC’s director of the Office of Fair Housing, on receiving the Citizens' Housing and Planning Association, Inc. CHAPA Policy Leadership Award at last night’s annual dinner.

As the first director of the office created by Gov. Maura Healey when she signed the Affordable Homes Act, Whitney is leading critical work to advance fair housing, expand opportunity and build stronger communities across Massachusetts.

Well deserved, Whitney!

Secretary Matias joined Citizens' Housing and Planning Association, Inc. CHAPA and community partners Thursday night to talk about how the Healey-Driscoll Administration is working to build more housing and drive down costs.

As the commonwealth works toward a goal of 222,000 new homes by 2025, HLC is focused on keeping Massachusetts moving forward, responding to federal changes and working with partners across the state to expand housing opportunities.

Thank you to Sarah Raposa for hosting CHAPA's Housing Leadership Academy Outer Suburbs cohort in Medway this week!

Each month, our Housing Leadership Fellows meet with a group of pro-housing local officials from similar communities to discuss strategies to overcome their communities' housing challenges. This month, we talked about strategically engaging stakeholders to build coalitions behind housing policy reform.
